  1. Wow, what a find! Unfortunately, most Americans wouldn’t be able to enjoy much of that meal. Fortunately Jack and Barbra aren’t most Americans.

  2. Oh my goodness. Everything looks so fresh and incredible and unique! I had a one bad experience with uni in college, like 1976, and I know I need to try it again. But nothing else looked offensive to me! Great photos!

    • Thanks! I could barely get passed uni the first couple of times I tried it. Too… a lot of things. But it’s become a favorite. We thought we’d be doing more fishing, but this trip is shaping into a full-blown food tour.

    • A number of places in Hokkaido took a hard hit as well – rivers up over their banks, crop damage and so forth. Fortunately the brunt of the rain missed us, but it has been unseasonably wet and cold. We had full sunshine today (July 8) – much welcomed. We’re hoping damage to crops was minimal. Thanks for checking in.
