  1. You two have given me so much pleasure, who’d think I could open my ipad and experience a float on Chignik Lake, plus hike! In a time of computer angst, you are the upside, thanks.
I hope plans for Japanese cycling trip are going well. I started A Ride in the Neon Sun by Josie Dew, Little John 1999.. along the same lines but have not finished, yet. It has good write ups from TLS etc and might offer some tips if not already known. Cheers and thanks again.

    • Good to hear from you, Sally. Yes, the Japan trip is on target – we’ve been working out and getting in shape, we’ve put together the gear we think we’ll need, the plane tickets are purchased and we’ve been studying and honing our camera skills. We excited – a little nervous.

  2. Thank you Jack and Barbra, your stories really take me away, from one coast to another. I love the idea of deflating the canoe and hiking home. Wicked cool.
