  1. Hello Mark & Barbara. As you might remember, Mark, my father was a fisher, too. He taught my brother & I how to fish in a very similar way to this story. Great to look back on those times. Thanks for sharing.

    • Yes, I do recall that, Gerowyn. I’ve long been fascinated by the ways the simple (or complex) art of angling brings people together across generations and cultures. I always felt, walking along river banks and ocean beaches in Japan, that I had an immediate connections with fellow anglers, that at least in this one had experiences in common.
